Justin Bieber havia anunciado que se apresentaria no festival inglês, que acontece em Birmingham no dia 28 de agosto, porém teve que se desculpar em suas redes sociais na última terça-feira por não poder mais comparecer no evento devido a alguns imprevistos. Neste mesmo dia, o cantor canadense lançará seu mais novo single, “What Do You Mean”.
Com isso, Ed Sheeran foi escalado para substituir Bieber, mesmo tendo afirmado que os shows no Wembley seriam os seus últimos da turnê no Reino Unido, e anunciou a novidade no Twitter.
It's called Fusion fest, it's in Birmingham, and it's on the 28th of August, this is the last booked UK show of the X tour. No more after

“Sem mais shows, depois”, ele enfatizou que Fusion Festival será o último da X Tour no Reino Unido.
Como um bom amigo, Justin Bieber agradeceu, em resposta aos Tweets de Ed, por ele ter aceitado, que agora o “deve uma”, e que ninguém seria melhor que Sheeran para substituí-lo.
